STEP 1
Access your Shopify Admin's Theme Library to open the theme customizer.

Click on the Theme settings icon.

Open the 🎁Free Widgets / Sections tab and toggle the Breadcrumbs option.

In your Theme Editor, navigate to the Product page or Collection page template — the Breadcrumb section only works within these page types.

STEP 2
In the left sidebar, expand the Template group, click Add section, and search for Breadcrumb.

STEP 3
Select Breadcrumb to add it to the template.

STEP 4
Click on the Breadcrumb section to open its settings and adjust the available options, such as color, spacing and social media settings.

💡 Note: The breadcrumb will only appear if a navigation path exists.
For example, if a customer visits a product page directly from the homepage, no breadcrumb will be shown. However, if they navigate from a Collection page → Product page, the breadcrumb trail will display correctly.
