Breadcrumb navigation serves as an excellent visual aid for users and averts the tendency of getting lost. It shows the exact location of the user on a site. The term is derived from the famous German fairy tale entitled "Hansel and Gretel" wherein the children used breadcrumbs to find their way home.
An online store with numerous categories and a wide collection of products would need breadcrumb navigation.
An example of breadcrumb navigation:
STEP 1. Under Sales Channels, select Online Store.
STEP 2. On the right portion of the page, click on Customize.
STEP 3. Located on the bottom part of the sidebar menu, tap Theme settings.
STEP 4. Tap Advanced Settings.
STEP 5. Under PAGE, tick on Show breadcrumbs.
STEP 6. Tap Save to apply changes.
