Adding newsletters is an excellent way to build and grow an email list of customers. Newsletters allow store owners to engage with subscribers to reduce cart abandonment, and send special offers and discounts while learning more about them, based on their spending or responses.

When setting up the pop-up, remember to add a convincing reason to join the newsletter e.g. offers exclusive to members.

The enablement or disablement of widgets depends on the version of your Debutify Theme. Please follow the correct guide based on your theme version:

STEP 1

Access your Shopify Admin's Theme Library to open the theme customizer.

STEP 2

Click on the Theme settings icon.

STEP 3

Scroll down and locate the Debutify Widgets tabs. You’ll find the following categories:

Expand the relevant widget category by clicking on the arrow next to the tab name.

To enable a widget, check the box next to the widget name. To disable it, simply uncheck the box.

Sign in to your Debutify Theme Login Portal at platform.debutify.com, and navigate to the Widgets section.

Choose your widget from the Widgets menu, either by searching or filtering by category.

To enable or disable your chosen widget, click on the toggle switch.

Scroll over the addons group, then select Newsletter popup. Tick the proper floating bar settings, position, and icon.

Make sure you set up the pop-up settings based on your needs.

Set up the trigger settings and customer tag.

Fill up the discount code part, add the name, and amount, and select the discount type.

If you tick Enable time-based trigger, the newsletter will appear after your preferred trigger timeout.

If you uncheck Enable time-based trigger, exit-intent will be activated. When the user is going to exit your website, the newsletter will pop up on the screen.

Click Save to confirm the changes.

To see a list of subscribers to your newsletter, go to Shopify admin, and select Customers.

Under the Customers section, you will see the most recent customers who subscribed to your newsletter.

Click on the Customer to see their details.

Click Generate code or create your discount code. Make sure it only consists of letters or numbers.

Go to your Shopify Admin, go to Online Store then Discounts.

Click Create Discount. The discount you create can either be an amount off products or an amount off orders.

Select the discount type. The discount you create can either be an amount off products or an amount off orders.

If the discount is "amount off products:" Click amount off products, then automatic discount.

Add the Title (customers will see this in their cart and at checkout).

Choose the discount value: Percentage or fixed amount. Select whether it applies to specific collections or specific products.

Fill in the minimum purchase requirements and where this product discount can be combined.

Lastly, add the active dates of the discounts.
