Sharing Customer Testimonials
A testimonial is a statement from someone who is sharing their experience of a product or service. Adding testimonials to your Shopify online store turns happy customers into advocates and that helps to reinforce new customers' decision to buy.
You can also use this section to show a step-by-step process, press mentions, team, or customer profiles much like with the Logo list section.
In Debutify Shopify themes, you can add a section in your home or product page to show testimonials.
TIP: Ask customers for testimonials and permission to publish their names with the testimonials.
How to Add the Testimonials Section
STEP 1
In Shopify admin, click on Themes.
STEP 2
Select your Debutify Shopify theme and click Customize.
STEP 3
Click on Testimonials or click on Add section to add the Testimonials section.
STEP 4
Decide on where (option to show on desktop, mobile, or both) or how (full width or not) to display the section on the page.
Heading and Subheading - displays the heading and subheading text for the section
Section style - allows you to choose either a blank, accent, or border-top background.
Image/icon height - allows you to choose the height of the image or icon displayed in each testimonial block
Carousel options animate the section.
STEP 5
Go back and click on the triangle next to Testimonials to reveal the option to edit a Testimonial block or click add testimonials. Note: you can add up to 9 testimonials.
STEP 6
Click Select Image to add an image in the Testimonial block or use an icon.
Text - displays the text in the testimonial block. This is where you add the testimonial.
Author - displays the author's name in the testimonial block.
STEP 7
Click Save to apply changes.
