Each product variant has a URL assigned when the product is added. Many of our customers request to remove the variant URL from the product grid - this creates a simple product URL and customers will land on the first variant of a product instead of a specific variant when they get to the product page.
How to Remove the Variant URL
STEP 1
In Shopify admin, under Online Store, click on Themes.
STEP 2
Select your Debutify Shopify theme and click Customize.
STEP 3
Click on the Theme Settings icon.
STEP 4
Click on Advanced Settings.
STEP 5
Scroll to Product Grid and untick Enable history state to remove the URL.
STEP 6
Click Save to apply changes.
