With the release of Debutify 6.0, we are excited to bring you a major upgrade to our theme. However, with this upgrade, there are some changes that you should be aware of regarding your theme settings.
What Happens to My Theme Settings?
When you upgrade to Debutify 6.0, your theme settings, including colors, fonts, and layout choices, will not be copied over from any older version of Debutify. This is because Debutify 6.0 is a major upgrade and does not support copying existing theme settings.
If you have made customizations directly to the theme's code, these changes may need to be redone on the new theme. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we believe that the new features and improvements in Debutify 6.0 will make up for it.
How to Prepare for the Upgrade?
Before performing any major update, it's always a good idea to back up your existing theme and settings. This allows you to revert to the previous version if something goes wrong or if you're not happy with the update.
Why These Changes Are Needed?
To enhance performance, the code was revised, resulting in an optimized setup that will improve the Shopify admin score significantly.
As recommended by Shopify, we've also switched from SCSS to native CSS with variable functions and modifiers, which will give you even more customization options.
Your site will load faster and look better with the latest image and media optimizations and the removal of third-party scripts.
