Google Tag Manager is a powerful tool that allows you to manage and deploy tracking codes on your website easily. You have two options for installing Google Tag Manager: through the theme settings or manually. In this article, we will guide you through both methods.
How to Install Google Tag Manager through Theme Settings?
Debutify already has the Google Tag Manager script present and ready to be activated. To install it, follow these simple steps:
STEP 1
Go to your Shopify Admin, go to Online Store, and then Themes.
Select your Debutify Shopify theme, and click on Customize.
STEP 2
To find the integrations, go to Theme Settings, and click Integrations. Add the Google Tag Manager ID.

STEP 3
Click Save to apply the changes.
How to Install Google Tag Manager Manually?
If you prefer to install the Google Tag Manager script manually, you can follow these steps:
STEP 1
Go to your Shopify Admin, go to Online Store, and then Themes.
Select your Debutify Shopify theme and then click the "Edit Code" button on your active theme.
STEP 2
Click Layout and select theme.liquid.
If you want to connect your website to Google Ads, copy and paste the Google tag code after the <head> element.
Note: Don’t add more than one Google tag to each page of your website.
STEP 3
Click Save to apply the changes.
