What to Consider the Goals of Your "About Us" Page?

Think about your "About Us" page's objectives. Write your "About Us" page with the following objectives in mind:

  • Be inspiring: Think about the actions and emotions you want readers to experience after perusing the page. To discover more about your items, for instance, you may wish to encourage clients to subscribe to your mailing list.

  • Be genuine: Tell the story of your company in a voice that is distinct and sincere. Think about your company's objectives, growth and difficulties, and guiding principles. You may, for instance, describe how your personal experience led you to see a need for a certain product. If you find it difficult to write in a genuine voice, consider recording your speech and writing down a first draft of it.

  • Be interesting: Utilize images or videos to break up the text and make your company more relatable to your audience. You may, for instance, incorporate team pictures or client testimonials on video.

What to Include in Your "About Us" Page?

You should write facts about your company, products, or consumers that will inspire them on your "About Us" page. Think about which of the following instances would be a beneficial addition to your "About Us" page:

  • What you sell: everything that adds distinction to your goods

  • Why you are selling it: your company's ideals or mission

  • Who you are—your producers, your company, or your founder

  • Who you're marketing to and how you handle customer happiness or customer service

  • What distinguishes your company from the competition—specialized knowledge, client endorsements, or extra services?

Don't forget to include a specific request for your customers that matches the goal of the page, otherwise known as a call-to-action. For example, you could include a newsletter sign-up form or social media follow buttons on your "About Us" page.

Tip: The page "About Us" need not be named that way. Alternatively, you may include a title that is more relevant to your company, such "Our story," "Values," or even something more focused like "Fair trade commitment."

What is a "Contact Us" Page?

Aside from the homepage, about us page, and blog, a Shopify contact us page is one of the top four crucial pages that every website needs.

Generally, the contact page acts as a conduit for buyers and sellers. A contact page allows customers to get in touch with the store owner or other responsible parties directly using the information contact listed on the website, rather than having a meeting with them to discuss and figure out how to address their concerns over a few minutes.

There is always a purpose for someone to visit your contact us page on Shopify. They may run into difficulties when trying to find out about exchange policies and refund policies, or they may require more specific product information, your company's address, or its operating hours.

Importance of "Contact Us" Page

1. Customer Support: It serves as a direct line of communication between the store and its customers. Customers may have inquiries, issues, or specific needs that require direct interaction. A Contact Us page provides a clear channel for them to reach out.

2. Trust and Credibility: A well-designed Contact Us page enhances the credibility of the online store. It shows that the store is legitimate and transparent, as it provides customers with a way to contact real people behind the business.

3. Customer Feedback: It's a valuable tool for collecting feedback from customers. Whether it's about their experience with the store, suggestions for improvement, or even testimonials, the Contact Us page can be a source of valuable insights.

4. Order Issues and Returns: Customers often use the Contact Us page to inquire about their orders, shipping details, returns, or refunds. Providing clear instructions and contact information helps streamline these processes.

5. Accessibility: It ensures that customers can easily find a way to contact the store owner or customer support team. This accessibility is crucial for resolving issues promptly and maintaining customer satisfaction.

6. Marketing Opportunities: Depending on how it's designed, the Contact Us page can also be used for additional marketing purposes. For example, it could include links to social media profiles, newsletters, or special offers, encouraging further engagement with customers.
