What does the Cart Goal add-on do?

The Cart goal add-on offers your customers free shipping when a specific cart total amount is reached. This entices customers to spend more in order to receive free shipping. This feature works with multiple currencies.

How to enable the Cart goal Add-On

STEP 1

Go to your Shopify Admin, select Online Store.

How to manage the Cart goal Add-On settings

STEP 1

Navigate Theme Settings and tap Cart goal to configure its settings.

Add your Cart goal settings. Make sure you create a shipping rate that would match your desired goal amount - we've provided the steps for creating a shipping rate in the next section of this article.

How to create a shipping rate

STEP 1

To add a new shipping rate from the Cart goal add-on settings, click on the shipping rates link.

Tap on Manage rates.

Click on the Create shipping zone link to specify your preferred region, country, or province.

On the Create Zone page, enter your desired Zone name. Select the country/region you wish to add to your zone. Click on the Done button to apply changes.

Tap Add rate. Your rate should match with the goal amount you have entered in your Cart goal settings.

In this example, we will create a rate of 100 as it is the same value as the sample goal amount. Refer to step 2 of Manage Cart goal settings. This means, for purchases amounting to $100 or more, the customer receives free shipping.

On this condition, the total amount of purchases below $100 will pay a standard shipping fee of $20.

After setting the rates and conditions, the summary of the rates will appear on the General Profile page. Tap Save to apply changes.
