The Debutify Theme custom app is a powerful tool that allows you to extract website API data into your Debutify login dashboard. This provides you with comprehensive analytics, reporting customer data, advanced add-on features, and more. In this article, we will guide you through the process of creating and installing the Debutify Theme custom app on your Shopify store.


How to Allow custom app development?

STEP 1

Log into your Shopify admin account, and click on Settings.

STEP 2

Once you are on the Settings page, click on Apps and sales channels.

STEP 3

Click Develop apps.

STEP 4

On the App Development page, you will see a message that says "Start developing apps for your store." Please read the Shopify API License and Terms of Use before getting started. Click on Allow custom app development.

STEP 5

A pop-up will appear that reminds you that this action cannot be reversed. Click on Allow custom app development.


How to Create and Install the Debutify Theme Custom app?

Now that you've activated custom app development, it's time to create your Debutify Theme Custom app.

STEP 1

Click Create an app.

STEP 2

Enter the name of your custom app, then click Create app.

How to Add Permissions to the Custom App?

STEP 1

Click Configure admin scopes.

Admin scopes refer to the permissions that you grant to your custom app. These scopes determine what areas of your Shopify store the app can access.

STEP 2

To ensure your app has the required permissions for theme backups and other functionalities, select the corresponding permissions.

How to Enable Theme Settings Backup Feature?

STEP 1

To enable the Theme settings backup feature for your theme, select:

  • write_themes

  • read_themes

  • write_theme_code

How to Enable Analytics, Customer Data, and Other Permissions?

STEP 1

To view store metrics, select:

  • read_analytics

To collect customer browsing data, select:

  • read_customer_events

You may also want to include:

  • read_discounts

  • read_orders

STEP 2

Click Save to apply your choices.


How to Install the app and get the Admin API access token?

After creating the Debutify Theme Custom app, you need to install the app and get the Admin API access token, the API key, and the API secret key.

STEP 1

Click Install app.

STEP 2

This pop-up will appear. Click Install to confirm.

STEP 3

Go to the API credentials tab. Here, you will find the Admin API access token, API key, and secret key. You need to copy these codes to your login dashboard to complete the installation of the custom app.

STEP 4

Get the Admin API access token, and click Reveal token once.

STEP 5

Click the clipboard icon to copy the Admin API access token.

STEP 6

Go to your Debutify Login Portal and log in via platform.debutify.com. Use your email and password.

STEP 7

Click Custom app and enter the Admin API access token.

STEP 8

Next, copy the API key by clicking the clipboard icon and pasting it into the corresponding box in your login dashboard.

Paste it into the corresponding box in your login dashboard.

STEP 10

Follow the same steps for the API secret key. Copy the API secret key and

Paste it into the corresponding box in your login dashboard.


How to Confirm the Installation of the Debutify Theme custom app?

STEP 1

Go back to your Debutify Login Portal and log in via platform.debutify.com. Use your email and password.

STEP 2

Click on Verify to confirm that the API credentials you have provided are correct.
