Duplicate Product Descriptions
Having duplicate product descriptions on your website can confuse your customers and can also negatively impact your search engine rankings. It's important to regularly check for and remove any duplicate product descriptions to ensure a smooth and efficient shopping experience for your customers.
Why Are There Duplicate Product Descriptions?
Product descriptions will appear twice: once if the 'show description' option of the description block is enabled, and again if a 'description' tab is created on the product tab add-on. To resolve this, you'll need to disable one of them.
How To Remove Duplicate Product Descriptions?
STEP 1
Go to your Shopify Admin, go to Online Store, and then Themes.
STEP 2
Select your Debutify Shopify theme, and click on Customize.
STEP 3
For the product page description:
Navigate to the product page and remove or hide the Description block.
For the product tab description:
On the home page, scroll down to Product Tabs. Remove or hide the details block.
STEP 4
Click Save to apply the changes.
