Why Are There Duplicate Product Descriptions?
You might encounter duplicate product descriptions. This happens if both the 'show description' option in the description block is enabled and a 'description' tab is created in the product tab add-on. To resolve this, you need to disable one of them. Here's how:
How To Remove Duplicate Product Descriptions?
STEP 1
Access your Shopify Admin's Theme Library to open the theme customizer.
STEP 2
Go to the Top Bar, and click on the Template picker.
Click Products, then Default Product.
STEP 3
Option 1: Disable the Description in the Product Page Description Block
Scroll to Templates, and click on Product Page.
Scroll to Description, and click on the trash icon to delete. Click on the eye icon to hide.
Option 2: Disable the Description in the Product Tabs
Scroll to Templates, and look for the Product Tabs
Within the "Product Tabs" section, locate the description block.
Click on the trash icon to remove the description block, or click on the eye icon to hide it.
STEP 4
Click Save to apply the changes.
