How to Whitelist Your Domain for the Facebook Chat Plugin?

After customers have followed the provided instructions and embedded the Chat Plugin code into their theme, the plugin may still not appear if their domain is not whitelisted within Facebook's domain settings.

In such cases, customers should follow the steps outlined below:

STEP 1

Log into your Facebook account. If you do not have a Facebook account, create one to access the necessary settings.

STEP 2

Once logged into your Facebook account, navigate to the "Settings" page. From there, click on the "New Page Experience" tab on the left-hand side of the screen.

STEP 3

Click on "Advanced Messaging." Under the "Whitelisted Domains" section, click on the "Add" button. A pop-up window will appear where you can enter your domain name.

Be sure to enter your domain name exactly as it appears in the URL of your website. For example, if your website is www.example.com, you will need to enter "example.com" in the pop-up window.

STEP 4

Once you have entered your domain name, click on the "Save Changes" button. Your domain should now be whitelisted and the Chat Plugin should appear on your website.

If you have multiple domains that you would like to whitelist, you can repeat this process for each domain.
